A Grand Day Out / The Wrong Trousers / A Close Shave...

Adults must be accompanied by a child! The film starts at 1.15pm and entry is £1 per toddler (on the door) with babies and carers free.

The film programme is a joint project by Rural Arts and the Thirsk branch of the l National Childbirth Trust (NCT) who have been awarded funding from the Local Network Fund for the project. The Old Courthouse is on Westgate and free parking is available in the market square and the local Tesco's.

Jane Redfern, marketing manager for Rural Arts who is also the mum to 4 year old Toby says: "This is the second season and features 6 lovely films, specially chosen by parents in the local NCT- others in the season include Clifford's Really Big Movie and a delightful animation, Laura's Star. The first season was a huge success with numbers increasing at every screening. Rebecca Frank, NCT Thirsk Co-ordinator is committed to providing more opportunities for children in the area says: "We aim to show films that are funny, exciting and above all something to talk about. Films are shown in a bright room with a relaxed informal atmosphere which will reassure the most timid of children. The Courtroom has flexible seating and we encourage children to bring a cushion so they can all sit together"

The film programme is open to all and there is full disabled access. The films will be programmed to finish in time to allow parents to collect older children from school.
