Walks and Trails in and around Thirsk

There are a number of rural and town walks following public Rights of Way available from the Tourist Information Centre (TIC). Recent additions include the Blue Plaque Trail which visits 19 buildings around Thirsk and Sowerby, commemorating important buildings or people. The Thirsk Past and Present Heritage Trail visits 12 historic sites around Thirsk and Sowerby. Each site has an interpretation board providing a wealth of detail about that area. Both leaflets are available from the TIC or Thirsk Museum.
